Eli Ben-Sasson

Eli is a co-founder and president of StarkWare, and Chairman of its Board of Directors.

He has been researching cryptographic and zero knowledge proofs of computational integrity ever since he received his Phd in Theoretical Computer Science from the Hebrew University in 2001. Eli is a co-inventor of the STARK, FRI and Zerocash protocols and a Founding Scientist of the Zcash Company. Over the years he held research positions at the Institute for Advanced Study at Princeton, Harvard and MIT, and, most recently, was a Professor of CS at Technion, which he left to co-found StarkWare.

Uri is a co-founder and CEO at StarkWare, and a member of its Board of Directors.

He has a B.Sc. (Magna cum Laude) in Computer Science from the Hebrew University, and an MBA from MIT Sloan. Uri is a serial entrepreneur, who has co-founded several technology companies, among them OmniGuide (an MIT spinoff developing optical fibers for endoscopic surgery), and Mondria (developer of tools for visualization of big data). Previously, Uri also served as an EIR with two Israeli VC firms, and as an analyst at McKinsey.

Michael Riabzev

Michael is a co-founder and Chief Architect at StarkWare.

He has a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Technion Israel Institute for Technology, where he focused on the development of practical systems for computational integrity in zero-knowledge, culminating in the development and implementation of the zk-STARK system. Michael has a B.Sc. in Math (cum Laude) and an M.Sc. in Computer Science, both from the Technion. He has 14 years of software development experience, including at Intel and IBM Research Labs. Michael has worked on hardware acceleration, cryptographic algorithms, GPGPU, SDN, web development, and more.

Alessandro Chiesa

Alessandro is a co-founder and Chief Scientist at StarkWare. Alessandro is a faculty member in Computer Science at UC Berkeley. His research spans the areas of complexity theory, cryptography, and security, and focuses on the theoretical foundations and practical implementations of zero knowledge proofs that are short and easy to verify. He is a co-inventor of the Zerocash protocol, and is an author of libsnark, the leading open-source library for succinct zero knowledge proofs. Alessandro is a founding scientist of the Zcash company. He received B.Sc. degrees in Computer Science and in Math, and a Ph.D. in Computer Science, from MIT

Adi Yakovian

Adi has a B.Sc. in Computer Science and Cognitive Science from the Hebrew University, and an M.Sc. in Computer Science from the Weizmann Institute of Science. Adi’s research was in the fields of biophysical modeling and formal verification, under the supervision of Prof. David Harel. During her studies, she worked as a software developer at Rocketick (then acquired by Cadence) which developed a parallel logic simulation for chip verification.

Alon Dotan

Alon has over a decade of experience in networking and security for both startups and large companies. Before joining StarkWare, Alon has worked for HP as well as different startups in the cyber industry. Alon has been an open-source enthusiastic for years, contributing to a variety of open-source projects.

Alon Frydberg

Alon holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science and Mathematics Double Major (Summa cum Laude), from Tel Aviv University. He was twice awarded the Dean’s List and finished 1st in his class in Computer Science. He is currently pursuing an M.Sc. in Computer Science at Tel Aviv University, where his research interests include Algorithms and Complexity, with an emphasis on Algorithms on Graphs.

Alon Shtaierman

Alon has a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Computer Science from the Technion, where he researched distributed algorithms and game theory for the purpose of devising a decentralized monetary policy protocol for cryptocurrencies, under the supervision of Prof. Eli Ben Sasson and Prof. Yuval Ishai.

Alon Titelman

Alon has a B.Sc in Mathematics and Computer Science (Summa cum Laude) from the Open University, He has 10 years of industry experience in research and development.

Alon has beaten the record on the Pyongyang golf course by achieving 2 or more under par on all putts on his first try; he had once successfully shot 53 moving targets on horseback, not missing a single shot, within 12.5 minutes. Alon’s riverboat has been repeatedly voted the most skillfully decorated of the Parana region, and his breed of poodle is the fluffiest outside Europe, by a considerable margin.

Areej Khoury

Areej has an M.Sc. and B.Sc. in Computer Science (both Summa Cum Laude) from The University of Haifa. In her Masters studies, Areej researched Probabilistic Algorithms, and in particular Property Testing under the supervision of Prof. Ilan Newman and Dr. Yuri Rabinovich. Areej’s interests lie in several aspects of Computer Science, including Algorithms and Complexity. Areej won multiple awards and scholarships, including the Google Anita Borg Memorial Scholarship for Outstanding Women in Technology.
